Boat Engineer II
Description:
In this course, participants will be provided with the training necessary to become competent Engineers on vessels fitted with propulsion machinery of up to750kw (1000hp) operating in protected, coastal and exposed waters. This is a requirement under the Small Commercial Vessels Code (SCV) to take the Boat Engineer Examinations in the respective Grade.

Eight (8) Saturdays

- Marine Hydraulic System(Deck and Engine Room)
- Fire Marine Electrical System Ship Construction
- Naval Architecture Fighting System General Shipboard Practice, Including Watch Keeping (Engine Room) Report Writing Marine Steam Practice
Course Requirements:
- Eighteen (18) years and over
- Must have completed Basic Safety Training (Pre Sea) at an approved institution
- Have at least six (6) months experience working in an Engine Room environment e.g Oiler or completed a period of apprenticeship at a recognized institution
