This course provides the level of knowledge required for the designated seafarers to take immediate effective action in the case of accidents or illness on board a ship.

- Medical care of sick seafarers involving co-operation with port health authorities or out-patient wards in port
- Clinical examination procedures are complete and comply with instructions received
