Launch Engineer
Description:
In this course, participants will be provided with the training necessary to become competent Engineers. Upon successful examination by the Maritime Services Division of the Ministry of Transport to obtain their Certificate of Competency & License as Launch Engineer.
Duration:
6 days/ 30 hours
Modules:
- The construction of engine to include wiring, order of cylinder firing, tuning.
- The lubricating and water cooling systems.
- Adjusting fuel pump & removal of cylinders.
- How to clean an engine including decarbonizing, valves, piston rings and bearings.
- Troubleshooting.
- Action to take in emergency.
